Join us for an AAPS Career Forum on August 8th at 12pm ET. Our curated networking format involves pairing students and early career individuals with field leaders form a variety of sectors for one-on-one and small group conversations. Join a museum researcher, environmental justice data scientist, Master Naturalist program director, state agency leader, evaluators, and hear their advice on the skills and experience needed to build careers in the participatory sciences.

What to expect
Student attendees in this event get to meet with participatory science professionals from a variety of backgrounds to get direct advice on the skills and experience needed to build careers in this field. Established career participants will have an opportunity to share about their career path and reflect on the essential skills for their job, and advice for how to build them. We intentionally group people so that you can have conversations of mutual interest, and orchestrate the event so that you’re done after an hour. Hopefully over the course of the hour you think at least once “well, that conversation was too short!” and you follow up afterwards with your new connections.
Considerations when registering
Pulling this event together takes staff time as we work to personally match individuals who have common interests. Please only register if you plan on attending and let us know if your schedule changes and you can no longer attend.
