Over the past five years, AAPS Connect has served as the central home for our members to connect, attend events, and share knowledge across the participatory sciences. Today, we are thrilled to take the next big step: opening AAPS Connect to the entire participatory science community—no membership required.
Our goal is simple: to create an inclusive, centralized space where researchers, educators, community leaders, and all who are part of project teams can easily collaborate and move the field forward.

AAPS Connect is built to give you direct access to the tools, people, and resources you need for your work, without gatekeepers or algorithms:
- Searchable Discussions: Ask questions, share project updates, and search past topics with clean tags and keywords—no buried email threads.
- Rich Member Profiles: Showcase your publications, portfolio, and organizational links directly on your profile. Your details automatically attach to every post you share.
- Opportunities Board: Browse and post job openings, grant opportunities, workshops, and upcoming field events.
- Tailored Notifications: Stay up to date with a single daily digest email default (from csaconnect@mn.co), or easily adjust your settings to match your preference.
Moving Forward Together
As part of this shift, AAPS Connect will also serve as our primary platform for open community discussions, replacing the outdated citsci-discussion-l listserv which faced subscription, deliverability, and security risks.. We are excited to offer an improved space for these conversations in this expanded, archived, and searchable home.
