Our virtual conference highlights emerging and long-time leaders within the participatory sciences via dynamic discussions in a variety of formats. While session topics for the virtual conference have historically been identified by the Program Committee, this year we are turning to the community to tell us what conversations you most want to hear. We know that with your help, we will build a virtual conference program that is inspiring and actionable.
Proposing a conference session is your opportunity to elevate the issues you care most about, build collaborations, and share your unique perspective with the broadest possible audience. Convening a session at CAPS Virtual (May 26-29, 2026) can showcase your leadership in the field and/or to spark new connections and future collaborations.

Submit your idea for a main-stage Symposium.
Symposia are for deep, field-building discussions on a topic of broad relevance. Symposia are a prominent but limited part of the program with an opportunity to engage large audiences.
Consider leading a Collaborative Session.
Collaborative Sessions help conference attendees find real-world applications for the big ideas shared at the conference. These sessions can address a wide range of topics in creative and engaging formats.
Propose a Topical Discussion Session for presenters to join.
Topical Discussion Sessions are a great way to lead a conversation on a topic you’re passionate about. And unlike a symposium, you don’t need to identify speakers beforehand.
